Cabin Fever

We have rented a two bedroom cabin in the mountains for this next weekend. We have been needing to get away from the normal day to day and what better way than escaping to the mountains? We are bringing the girls, so its not like we get a quiet romantic weekend alone, but I think the girls will also enjoy the change in scenery. There is so much to do in the next few days. I have to make a grocery list, and grocery shop, make a packing list and pack, and anyone who has little ones knows that there is a LOT to pack when going out of town!! We need to get firewood and dig out our really warm clothes and make arrangements for the doggies. So much to do.

I checked the weather report and the high this weekend is going to be in the upper 30s and they are forecasting snow!! That would be so fantastic, but we are SO not prepared for snow right now. I don't have a snow suit that would even begin to fit Maddie. So although snow would be beautiful, it would mean all 4 of us being stuck inside for most of the weekend which is far less fun than frolicking in the woods. But it will be a nice time regardless of what mother nature throws us. I'm excited to get away from reality for a little bit and concentrate on enjoying my family and not the laundry/cleaning/homework etc.
