To the park we will go

One of our most favorite places to visit as a family is Pullen Park which is located in down town Raleigh. It's a bit of a drive for us because we live in the middle of nowhere, but it is worth the drive every time. The park has a train, a merry go round that lasts FOREVER, a boat ride for little kids and paddle boats on a small lake when the weather is nice. The playground is kind of an afterthought with all of the other cool things to do, and the play equipment is really not that great anyway. We were able to visit Pullen Park while my parents were in NC and it was a really fun time even though it was freezing and there weren't really any other kids there since it was a school day. I just wish we lived closer so we could go more often. *Sigh* Oh well.....maybe someday we'll live near a metropolitan area!
