Disneyland

We had such an amazing day at Disneyland! This was Maddie's first trip and although she probably won't remember much of it, she had a wonderful time once the overwhelming-ness wore off. We split the day in half and went home around 1:30 so Maddie could nap.....and so the adults could nap too!! The first half of the day wasn't crowded at all and we got on a lot of rides including Dumbo and the roller coaster in Toon Town both of which were her most favorite of all......we also rode them 3 times each!! lol We rode the tea cups 3 times as well and two of those times were back to back because there wasn't anyone else in line.....Mama was dizzy, but Maddie kept saying "fast, fast, fast!" She didn't like any of the rides that were in the dark or had scary music like snow white, or even peter pan.....she would cover her eyes with her hands and then kinda peek out and then cover them again. After a couple of rides like that we just stayed away from anything in the dark. The it's a small world ride was closed which was a bummer, and she wasn't tall enough for thunder mountain which I think she would have really liked since she seems to be a thrill ride/roller coaster junkie!! We ended up returning to the park around 5:00 and stayed for the fire works at 9:30 before heading back home. We were all EXHAUSTED but it was such an amazing day....Maddie was wonderfully behaved and waited in line like such a big girl. She has been talking about the dumbo ride ever since and every morning has gotten up and headed for the door saying "come on, let's go in the car to dumbo," so I guess she liked it!!! I have no idea when we'll be back at the magic kingdom, but the next time we'll be sure to bring Dan and Charlotte along!!
