Vintage Pyrex

My grandma used to cook with me. She taught me how to make goulash and helped me make my first and last apple pie.....I'm not a big pie eater so it stands to reason that I wouldn't be a big pie maker! I also use her amazing stufing recipe every year at Thanksgiving! Since she never had a dishwasher, she also taught me how to wash dishes by hand, the old fashioned way with a sink full of soapy water and a washrag. She was a patient woman and I can still vividly remember standing on a chair at her kitchen counter (something my own girls now do) and learning how to mix ground beef with tomatoes. These vintage Pyrex pieces belonged to my grandmother. I packed them in my carry on and brought them across the country to my kitchen. I don't know if I'll actually use them for cooking.....although they are fully functional, but I will for sure look at them and remember my grandma, the love she had for me, the patience she showed me and the times we cooked together.

This is one of the few blog posts I've read where people have actually inherited their vintage Pyrex. Such a lovely story.

What do you think your grandma put in these dishes?
