Playing till the sun goes down

I am not a big fan of daylight savings time. Not such a big deal when kids aren't involved, but as soon as you have babies, you'll know.....changing their schedule even by a measly hour wreaks havoc! The only saving grace that I find in spring day light savings time is that it stays light outside later. And boy, have we been taking advantage of that! I love that it's getting warmer and we can stay outside until it gets dark....usually around 7:15. We can garden and ride bikes and play in buckets of water, but mostly we play in the huge pile of dirt we have in our front yard. Want your kids to stay engaged and happy for hours at a time? Get 8 yards of dirt delivered and let them play in it! They climb the "mountain" and throw large clumps of dirt, they roll their soccer balls from the top and take brave, giant leaps. It is so incredibly dirty, but also incredibly fun! My kids normally only get baths about 2-3 times a week but recently it has been necessary to wash them almost every day. Once the weather truly gets warm around here, we'll be able to just hose them off outside instead of taking a daily bath. :o) I'm truly loving spring right now!!

I know I haven't talked about my pregnancy much lately, but there just isn't much to talk about. I'm still pregnant. The morning sickness is gone, but in it's place are headaches, nose bleeds, eye twitching and I'm still exhausted all the time......but not sleeping well. Go figure. But overall I'm feeling good. I have my next OB appt. on the 8th. The girls know I'm going to have another baby, or at least Maddie understand it, but we don't talk about it all that much. I'm sure it will become a more regular topic once I start showing and we get closer. Maddie does have some opinions on baby names though. She likes Abracadabra, The man with the yellow hat and Jesus.....pronounced like Jesus from the bible, not a Spanish Jesús. I'm not really sure how socially acceptable naming a child Jesus would be and The man with the yellow hat is quite a long name for a baby.....what kind of nick name would that produce? Yellow? Abracadabra has a nice ring to it. We'll see. :o)

hi! i vote for abracadabra for sure!!! you can call him abra. i actually like the sound of abra. except it's a bra. that would not be good for a boy at all. do you know you're having a boy??
