Abstract

We finally got around to painting the canvas for our guest room! It only took about 9 months. This painting was another multi step process because the canvas needed time to dry in between painting sessions.....otherwise we would have ended up with a lovely brown smeary mess. I painted the whole thing red a week or so ago and then Wednesday while Charlotte was home with a gaping hole in her tongue (wait....I haven't shared about that?!? I will eventually) her and I got the paint out and started on this beauty. Both girls were really into this project and it was a lot of fun to see what they came up with when given very little instruction and carte blanche to make a mess. Dan was a bit apprehensive about the paint being flung around, but I demonstrated how easily the acrylic paint comes off with baby wipes! All in all the mess was minimal, the process was super fun and I believe that the finished product is really cool. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!

I love the serious look they each have while painting. It's a beautiful work of art...
