We have been needing some art in our house pretty much since we moved in, but since we turned our dining room into an office, art has been near the top of my to-do list. I've searched and searched for something large enough to fill a pretty big wall, and cheap enough that we could afford it. I also have pretty picky taste which made the search difficult. After months of trying to find something to buy I decided that we were just going to have to make something ourselves! I bought a huge canvas at Michael's craft store at 50% off and some paint. Our family spent a bit of time today enjoying marble painting and making some art for our office. The experience was a lot of fun, and I think the results are pretty awesome! It's an interesting painting and my family made it! I think that it looks great in our office and I'm even contemplating doing another marble painting for our guest room.....I got 2 canvases.
Dan built a frame around the canvas to keep the marbles on & I painted it brown so the edges would be colored instead of plain white.
Plopped some green paint and marbles on and shake, shake, shake!

We decided to keep our Thanksgiving tree.....I'm contemplating making new leaves and turning it into a family tree!
